Vigo Airport to receive new covered bus station

Aena has announced plans to reconfigure the passenger transport area at Vigo Airport by constructing a new covered bus station. The project aims to replace the current parking area with a large canopy that will cover both the bus bays and the pedestrian walkways leading to them.

The upgrade is intended to protect travelers from weather conditions and resolve traffic congestion issues. Currently, the existing infrastructure lacks adequate protection, and many bus companies avoid the terminal due to maneuvering difficulties and low-hanging structures. The new design will include eight parking bays, an increase from the current seven.
