Vigo announces theme for upcoming Three Kings Parade

The Vigo City Council is finalizing preparations for the upcoming Christmas season, with a specific focus on the Three Kings Parade. Mayor Abel Caballero announced that the theme for this year’s parade will be ‘forest, nature, and magic.’

The festivities will include two distinct parade formats: a static display in Coia (Avenida de Castelao) and a traditional dynamic route ending at Praza do Rei. The council is set to approve contracts for the design of the large floats, with an estimated expenditure of approximately 234,000 euros for the parade and related auxiliary services.

Additionally, the city is investing in a new public address and sound system to manage holiday music and announcements. This project, valued at over 158,000 euros, is intended to provide clearer messaging while reducing noise pollution in public spaces. The contract for this system is expected to cover the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 periods.
