Vigo beach kiosks to resume live music concerts

The municipal government of Vigo, represented by Environment councilor Nuria Rodríguez, reached an agreement with owners of the city's beachfront kiosks (chiringuitos) to restore live music after a three‑week suspension. The solution establishes a weekly calendar, permits a maximum of two simultaneous performances across the coast, and designates Mondays as music‑free days.

Kiosk owners must provide the documentation required by the regional authority, the Xunta de Galicia, to obtain the necessary licences. Once approved, concerts will be free to the public, with the kiosks covering artist fees, SGAE royalties and technical costs. Performances are slated for 19:00‑22:00, with immediate cleanup after each show, and are expected to begin within the next few days.
