Vigo becomes the setting for steampunk novel ‘Vigo Vapor’

Author V. E. Luxán has released a steampunk-inspired literary project titled ‘Vigo Vapor: Vapor, Miseria y Revolución’. The work presents an alternative history of the city of Vigo and its surrounding region, reimagining the area through an industrial revolution driven by coal, steam, and airships.

The narrative explores a socially divided society where the wealthy reside in dirigibles while the working class struggles within the city. The project includes a website featuring maps and contextual imagery to enhance the reader's immersion into this speculative version of the Galician urban landscape.
