Vigo expands access to Roman and historical sites

The city of Vigo has announced an expansion of programming and visiting hours for three of its historical sites: the Toralla Roman World Interpretation Center, the O Castro Archaeological Site, and the O Castro Fortress.

New initiatives include children's camps, workshops for families and adults, and guided tours for schools and the general public. To improve accessibility, the city is implementing a unified online reservation system. The Toralla center will increase its weekly opening hours by 13 hours in winter and 14 hours in summer, while the O Castro Archaeological Site will extend its hours from 8:00 to 16:00 between October 1 and June 30. Additionally, the O Castro Fortress will introduce a new guided tour titled ‘360 years of the Fortress history’ and combined tours of the site and fortress.
