Vigo hosts Iberian Super Cup handball tournament

Vigo is hosting a major handball event at the IFEVI, featuring the Men’s Iberian Super Cup, the Women’s Spanish Super Cup, and various handball galas. The event, supported by the Diputación de Pontevedra and the Galician Federation, brings elite teams to the city to promote the sport.

In the first semifinal of the Men’s Iberian Super Cup, FC Barcelona secured a place in the final after a narrow 39-37 victory over FC Porto. Despite a strong second-half performance by the Portuguese side, Barcelona’s resilience and the contributions of Aleix Gómez allowed them to maintain their lead. Barcelona will face either Sporting CP or Bidasoa Irún in the final.
