Vigo prepares for Christmas light displays and seasonal events

Vigo is entering the final stages of preparations for its annual Christmas lighting ceremony. Mayor Abel Caballero is expected to officially activate the displays on November 13.

Key installations include a giant Christmas tree in the city center, surrounded by a forest of smaller trees in Porta do Sol. The city will also feature a 'street of Perseids,' which uses light elements to simulate a star shower.

In the Vialia Vigo area, preparations are underway for the Cíes Market, which is relocating to this zone for the first time. While the giant Ferris wheel and other attractions have yet to be installed in the shopping center's exterior parking lot, workers are actively deploying decorations throughout the city, including large lanterns in the Príncipe area.
