Vigo Mayor criticizes institutions over 2030 World Cup bid

Vigo Mayor Abel Caballero has criticized the Spanish Football Federation and the Xunta de Galicia, accusing them of working against the city's bid to host the 2030 World Cup. Caballero stated that the Federation has remained silent regarding Vigo's candidacy and has failed to inform the local government about upcoming FIFA stadium inspections scheduled for September and October.

In addition to the Federation, the Mayor extended his criticism to local political groups, including the PP and BNG, claiming they do not support the bid. Caballero announced he will meet with the president of the Consejo Superior de Deportes this weekend to discuss matters related to the World Cup and the city's candidacy.
