Vigo prepares for 28th edition of LA21 Half Marathon

The city of Vigo is set to host the 28th edition of the LA21 Half Marathon on Sunday, November 15. The event is expected to attract a large number of both professional athletes and amateur runners.

The competition offers two distinct distances: a 21-kilometer half marathon and a 10-kilometer race known as the ‘10,000 Alejandro Gómez’, which honors the legendary runner from Zamáns. The route begins in O Vao and traverses both urban and coastal areas, including a unique passage through the Beiramar tunnels, which is a rare opportunity for pedestrians to traverse them on foot.

David Suárez, CEO of Diesemm and organizer of the event, noted that registration rates are high, reflecting a growing interest in running and healthy lifestyles. The race will conclude at the Real Club Náutico de Vigo.
