Vigo religious sister to make perpetual profession

María, a member of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Cluny, will make her perpetual profession this Saturday, August 29, at the San José de Cluny College chapel in Vigo. The Eucharist will be presided over by the Bishop of Tui-Vigo, Antonio Valín.

María’s journey to religious life began in 2005 when she joined the college as a counselor. Her daily contact with the religious sisters and her educational work led to a process of discernment. Having previously made a first religious profession with the motto ‘Solo Tú’, she has chosen ‘Solo Tú… siempre’ (Only You… always) to signify the definitive nature of her commitment through the vows of obedience, chastity, and poverty.

The Sisters of Saint Joseph of Cluny is an international congregation founded in France in the early 19th century by Ana María Javouhey, currently comprising more than 2,000 religious members working across five continents.
