Vigo restores urban bus services to Pi y Margall
Vigo Mayor Abel Caballero has announced that urban bus services will return to Pi y Margall and López Mora starting Monday, September 28. This follows the completion of humanization works at Paseo de Granada.
Specifically, bus lines 12A and 5B will resume their routes toward Plaza de América. Upon reaching Plaza del Bicentenario, the lines will continue through Camelias, Romil, and Falperra before re-incorporating into Pi y Margall. The Mayor stated this route is the most suitable for traffic and ensures high-quality service for the city.
The restoration of these lines is part of Vigo’s integrated mobility model, which combines public transport with a network of over 70 vertical mobility systems, including ramps, escalators, and elevators. The local government has invested more than 100 million euros in this vertical mobility infrastructure, which saw over 10 million trips in 2025. Additionally, the city allocates over 19 million euros to support urban bus services, including free travel for pensioners and minors under 15.
