Vigo students participate in ‘O Teu Camiño’ coastal program

The ‘O Teu Camiño’ program has launched an initiative involving 600 students from five municipalities, including Vigo, to explore the Camino Portugués de la Costa. The project integrates hiking, surfing, and environmental education to connect young people with the historical and cultural significance of the pilgrimage route within their own local identity.

Participants from educational centers in Oia, Baiona, Nigrán, Vigo, and Redondela, as well as minors from the Aldeas Infantiles protection center, took part in activities including a trek along the Camino and surfing lessons at Patos beach. The initiative aims to foster inclusion, solidarity, and environmental awareness through sports and culture.
