Vigonza Mayor launches experimental plan to combat rural waste dumping

Mayor Gianmaria Boscaro has announced a new experimental plan to address the illegal dumping of waste in the rural areas of Vigonza. The initiative follows recent incidents on October 20, where bags of refuse were discovered along via Recanati and between via Livenza and via Tagliamento.

Local authorities noted that recent months have seen similar degradation in the localities of Codivernarolo and Perarolo. The administration highlighted that monitoring extra-urban areas is more challenging than urban centers due to the limited effectiveness of existing technological surveillance. To combat this, the municipality intends to adapt successful urban strategies, such as photo traps and video surveillance, for rural use. Residents have been called upon to report suspicious activity to help identify those responsible for these illegal discharges.
