Vigo's beaches grapple with fecal spills and pending concert reopenings

Bacterial counts of Escherichia coli and intestinal enterococci reached the highest levels on record since 2008, raising health concerns for swimmers. Separately, municipal authorities held a meeting with beach kiosk operators to discuss the resumption of live concerts on the Samil and other coastal kiosks. The council indicated that the proposal to restart performances, with a limited weekly schedule and no concerts on Mondays, was favorably received.
