Vigo's Freaky Film Festival celebrates 10th anniversary

The Galician Freaky Film Festival (GFFF) will hold its 10th edition from 17 to 26 September 2024 in Plaza Elíptica, Vigo. The programme combines subtitled international genre films, an industry section for emerging filmmakers, children’s screenings and street‑level activities.

The official launch featured representatives of the Xunta de Galicia, the Diputación de Pontevedra and the Vigo municipal council, who announced a €10,000 regional grant for the festival. Organisers highlighted a tribute lineup honouring cult classics such as The Fly, The Toxic Avenger and Big Trouble in Little China, and promoted events like a second Zombie Walk and the return of the mascot Toxie.
