Vihti scrap metal business targeted in multi-night theft
Property worth thousands of euros was stolen from a scrap metal business in Vihti, according to the Western Uusimaa Police. The thefts, which are suspected to have occurred over several nights between September 18 and September 24, targeted the yard area of the business located on a residential property.
Items reported stolen include copper, radiators, battery scrap, and aluminum profiles. While the perpetrators have not yet been identified, police are continuing their investigation under the charge of theft.
In a separate incident during recent traffic surveillance, police stopped a vehicle containing stolen property. The driver was an escaped fugitive who was also under a driving ban, intoxicated, and operating an uninspected vehicle with unpaid taxes and a missing license plate.
