Virginia Fonseca ends Blaze contract amid MPDFT legal action
Influencer Virginia Fonseca has terminated her advertising contract with the betting platform Blaze. This decision follows legal action by the Public Ministry of the Federal District and Territories (MPDFT), which is investigating potential predatory collusion between the influencer and the platform to attract users through misleading advertising.
The MPDFT has requested collective moral damages that could reach up to R$ 380 million, based on Blaze's 2025 gross revenue of approximately R$ 1.9 billion. The investigation highlights concerns regarding the lack of clarity in advertisements and the potential for influencers to induce financial risk among followers.
Separately, influencer Viih Tube has announced intentions to sue the musical group Jota Quest. The dispute arose after the band reportedly canceled its performance at her wedding just 15 days before the event. Viih Tube claims the cancellation was due to her being “canceled” on social media following controversies regarding a reality show involving domestic employees, rather than legitimate contractual issues like payment delays.
