Vijay Deverakonda discusses relationship and director support

Actor Vijay Deverakonda appeared on the talk show ‘Koffee with Karan’ alongside his wife, Rashmika Mandanna, to discuss his personal evolution and professional relationships. Deverakonda reflected on his past skepticism regarding love, noting that he previously viewed it with “disrespect and disbelief” due to being heavily focused on career ambition and financial growth.

He described how his relationship with Mandanna evolved from fondness into a sense of dependency, stating that he realized he wanted to marry her after finding comfort in her presence. The couple married in February 2026 in Udaipur, Rajasthan.

Additionally, Deverakonda addressed the criticism surrounding his breakout film, ‘Arjun Reddy’. He expressed unconditional support for the film’s director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, defending Vanga’s creative expression and noting that while the film faced harsh reviews, it remained a significant success.
