Vijay Deverakonda reportedly cast in ‘Laalo’ Telugu remake

Actor Vijay Deverakonda has reportedly been cast to play the role of Lord Krishna in the Telugu remake of the Gujarati film ‘Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate’. While earlier rumors suggested Ram Charan might take the role, reports indicate Deverakonda has secured the part.

The Telugu version will be produced by filmmaker Dil Raju, who recently acquired the remake rights. The original film, directed by Ankit Sakhiya, became the highest-grossing Gujarati film of all time, earning over ₹100 crore despite a limited budget and lack of major stars.

The plot follows an auto-rickshaw driver who becomes trapped in an isolated mansion while attempting a theft, eventually encountering a mysterious stranger who is revealed to be Lord Krishna.
