Vijay ranks third in India's next Prime Minister survey
In a ‘Mood of the Nation’ survey conducted by India Today–C Voter, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) founder C. Joseph Vijay ranked third among preferred candidates for India’s next Prime Minister.
According to the survey results, Narendra Modi holds the top position with 48.7 percent of the votes, followed by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi with 27.1 percent. Vijay secured 9.2 percent support, placing him ahead of other national leaders such as Mamata Banerjee, Akhilesh Yadav, and Arvind Kejriwal.
Additionally, when asked who would be the best leader to head the opposition alliance, Vijay placed second with 12.2 percent support, trailing only Rahul Gandhi, who received 29 percent. The survey, based on direct feedback from 25,184 individuals and interviews conducted over the last six months, highlights Vijay’s rapid rise in national political discourse since entering politics in 2024.
