Vijay Sethupathi film ‘Baththa’ trailer released

The trailer for the Tamil film ‘Baththa’ has been released, marking the third collaboration between actor Vijay Sethupathi and director Balaji Tharaneetharan. Set in the 1980s, the film follows a character portrayed by Sethupathi who is perceived by society as a fearsome and unassailable ruffian, with local rumors suggesting he has performed extreme feats of strength.

However, the trailer suggests a more nuanced narrative that explores the character’s softer, domestic side. While the public views him as a gangster, his wife, played by Lijomol Jose, and his daughter see a gentle and caring man. The film is expected to blend drama, humor, and emotion, specifically highlighting the bond between the protagonist and an eight-year-old child.

The musical score is composed by Sai Abhyankkar. The film is scheduled for release on October 1.
