Vijay Sethupathi leadership remarks spark political debate

Actor Vijay Sethupathi has sparked political controversy following remarks regarding leadership made during his role as host of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 10. During an episode, Sethupathi stated that true leadership does not involve making promises without thought or running away from responsibilities by blaming opponents, calling such behavior “deception.”

While Sethupathi did not name a specific political entity, social media users and supporters of the Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) party have interpreted the comments as an indirect attack on actor Vijay and his political party. Some critics suggest the remarks were intended to please the ruling DMK, while others argue the comments were strictly related to contestant behavior within the show.

In response to the backlash, Vijay TV issued a clarification stating that Bigg Boss is “purely an entertainment show” and that any statements made on the program are part of the competition. The network emphasized that its aim is not to support or criticize any individual, movement, or ideology.
