Vijay's film Jana Nayagan fake CBFC certificate sparks online frenzy

A fabricated 'A' rating certificate for the Vijay‑starrer *Jana Nayagan* circulated widely on social media, claiming the film had finally received CBFC clearance after a seven‑month delay. The bogus document listed alleged cuts, including muting profanity, trimming scenes with a collector character, reducing blood splatter and toning down violence.

The certificate was subsequently verified as counterfeit. The fan account that posted it deleted the content and issued an apology, stating, “We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. The previously shared #JanaNayagan certificate was fake.” Production house KVN Productions has not commented, and the film remains uncertified by the Central Board of Film Certification. The makers continue to await official clearance while the release remains postponed.

*Jana Nayagan* has attracted additional attention because lead actor Vijay, now Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, is slated to enter politics full‑time. The false certification claim added to public speculation about the film’s pending launch.
