In Karnataka, some exhibitors have listed tickets at rates up to five times the usual price, ranging from Rs 800 to Rs 1,000 and even Rs 2,500 for premium recliner seats, prompting complaints about affordability.

In Tamil Nadu, where Vijay also serves as chief minister, a fixed ticket price of Rs 190 has been enforced. Vijay has reportedly ordered his party cadres to prevent any resale or markup, and theatre operators are monitoring sales to ensure compliance. The contrasting approaches have sparked a broader discussion on ticket‑pricing practices for major South Indian releases.

The film, slated for a worldwide release on 23 July, has already recorded about Rs 4 crore in advance sales abroad and sold more than 10,000 tickets within minutes of opening in Chennai's Kamala Cinemas.
