Poland: Regulatory updates for real estate data and e-commerce compliance
Polish authorities and regulators are enforcing new compliance standards across different sectors. In the real estate and surveying sector, local officials (starostas) must meet a September 30 deadline to adjust how property price register data is shared, following amendments to regulations aimed at providing free, standardized access to data via GML files.
In the e-commerce sector, the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) is monitoring compliance with the Omnibus Directive. Online retailers are warned that providing only a contact form without a functional telephone number may constitute a violation of consumer rights, potentially leading to significant fines for failing to ensure effective communication with customers.
