Viktor Gyökeres seeks Arsenal exit amid Barcelona interest

Arsenal striker Viktor Gyökeres is reportedly seeking a transfer from the Premier League club this summer. The 28-year-old Swedish forward, who joined Arsenal from Sporting CP for £64 million, scored 21 goals in 55 appearances during his debut season, contributing to Arsenal's Premier League title win.

FC Barcelona is considering Gyökeres as a potential replacement for departing strikers Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres. Reports suggest Gyökeres and his agents have expressed interest in a move to the Catalan club.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is reportedly hesitant to sell the striker unless a suitable replacement is secured. Negotiations may depend on a potential chain reaction involving Julián Álvarez; if Atlético de Madrid allows Álvarez to move to the Premier League, it could provide Arsenal with the necessary striker to facilitate the sale of Gyökeres. Arsenal is expected to demand a fee exceeding €70 million for the player.
