Viktor Hovland drops from lead during PGA tournament in Memphis

Norwegian golfer Viktor Hovland experienced a difficult third round at the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis, Tennessee. After a strong start that saw him sharing the lead with world number one Scottie Scheffler, Hovland struggled through the latter half of his round.

Following a series of bogeys and a double bogey on the 12th hole—caused by hitting his drive into the water—Hovland finished the day two strokes over par. His frustration was evident on the 15th hole, where he recorded another bogey.

Hovland currently sits in a tie for 10th place, six strokes under par, heading into the final round. Scottie Scheffler maintains a seven-stroke lead at the top of the leaderboard.
