King Charles III sends message to Hungary for national holiday
On the occasion of Hungary's national holiday on August 20, King Charles III of the United Kingdom sent a message of congratulations to the Hungarian President, András Baka, and the Hungarian people. In his letter, the King highlighted the long-standing friendship between the two nations and expressed his commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation in the coming years.
The King also addressed global challenges, specifically emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in combating climate change and protecting the environment.
In domestic cultural news, Zoltán Tarr, the Minister responsible for Social Relations and Culture, presented awards to professionals in fields such as folk art, museology, and library science. During the ceremony, the Minister emphasized the importance of culture as a unifying force for the nation and stated the government's intention to make cultural support transparent and value-based.
Additionally, the Hungarian Development Bank has signed five support agreements with MAVIR, E.ON, and MVM under the EU's Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF). This initiative, involving nearly 500 billion forints, aims to modernize the electrical grid and implement smart meter installations to enhance energy security and renewable energy integration.
