Viktor Ujčík leaves Extraliga disciplinary commission, Radim Bičánek takes over

Viktor Ujčík, who became head of the Tipsport Extraliga disciplinary commission in 2018 after replacing Karl Holý, is stepping down after eight years. He faced criticism from clubs and players over some penalties but kept the role, and the commission was described as a stable part of league governance. Martin Loukota, director of the Extraliga, thanked Ujčík for his service and noted that Ujčík will now focus fully on his coaching duties at Dukla Jihlava.

Radim Bičánek, a 51‑year‑old former NHL forward who played for Ottawa, Chicago and Columbus and logged nearly 700 Extraliga games, will succeed Ujčík. Bičánek served as Ujčík’s adviser last season and said he will aim for consistent, impartial and clearly justified decisions. The remaining members of the disciplinary commission – Leoš Čermák, Tomáš Jelínek, Petr Kadlec and Libor Procházka – will continue in their roles.
