Viktoria Köln maintains second place in 3. Liga promotion race

Viktoria Köln has secured second place in the 3. Liga standings following a 1-1 draw against league leaders MSV Duisburg.

Coach Marian Wilhelm expressed that the result validates the team's current progress but remains cautious regarding promotion expectations. Wilhelm emphasized a recruitment philosophy focused on 'hungry players' who view the third division as a stepping stone rather than a final destination. He noted that while the club faces financial limitations compared to some competitors, their focus on continuous development has kept them in the top tier of the table.
