Viktorie Plzeň chairman addresses poor season start and coaching speculation

Adolf Šádek, the chairman of the board for Viktorie Plzeň, has addressed the club's poor start to the season and ongoing speculation regarding coach Martin Hyský's position. Following a series of disappointing results, including a 5-5 draw against Teplice, Šádek expressed significant dissatisfaction with both the team's performance and their play style.

Šádek clarified the club's decision-making structure, stating that while owner Michal Strnad is actively involved in strategy and budget, sporting decisions regarding players and coaches remain under Šádek's authority. He denied rumors that the owner is personally protecting Hyský, emphasizing that the management is evaluating performance continuously and expects immediate improvement.

In other regional football news, SK Smíchov's coach Jiří Sulek discussed the challenges of competing in the highest regional tier following the club's promotion, noting the increased investment and quality of competition in the league.
