Viktoria Plzeň strengthens defense with Gabriel and Vavro signings

Viktoria Plzeň has strengthened its defensive line with two significant signings to address injuries and recent performance issues.

Adam Gabriel has joined the club from the Danish side FC Midtjylland. The 25-year-old right-back made his debut for Plzeň in a 1-1 draw against Slovácko shortly after his transfer. Gabriel expressed satisfaction with the immediate playing time and the quality of the squad, despite the disappointing result.

Additionally, Slovak international Denis Vavro has signed a two-year contract with the club. Vavro, who has 33 caps for Slovakia and previously played for clubs including FC Copenhagen, Lazio, and Wolfsburg, arrives to provide veteran experience to a defense currently missing long-term injured players Václav Jemelka and Jan Paluska.
