Viktória Chladoňová competes in U23 cycling time trial at World Championships
Slovak cyclists Viktória Chladoňová and Sofia Ungerová are set to compete in the women's under-23 time trial at the UCI Road World Championships in Montreal. Chladoňová, a member of the Visma-Lease a Bike team, enters the event as the defending silver medalist from the 2025 championships in Rwanda.
Chladoňová will compete on a 20.3 km course with 145 meters of elevation gain. Slovak head coach Jakub Vančo noted that while Chladoňová has had a relatively light racing schedule this season, she has dedicated two months specifically to preparing for this event. The absence of previous top competitors, such as Zoe Bäckstedt and Federica Venturelli, alters the field for this year's competition.
Sofia Ungerová will also represent Slovakia in the under-23 category. Other Slovak athletes, including junior riders Timotej Michalík, Milan Húsenica, Karolína Hajduková, and Lujza Bartošíková, are scheduled to participate in upcoming events during the championships.
