Vila Nova de Poiares hosts finals of 25th Summer Cup youth volleyball tournament

The municipality of Vila Nova de Poiares in Portugal hosted the final stages of the 25th Summer Cup, one of the largest international youth volleyball tournaments. Organized by Lousã Volley Clube, the event featured around 3,200 athletes from roughly 200 teams of various nationalities.

Mayor Nuno Neves said, “It is a pride for Vila Nova de Poiares to continue being part of the Summer Cup history. Hosting the finals reflects the quality of our infrastructure and our ability to receive major sporting events.” The award ceremony recognized the winners in each age category, including Dragons Moralzarzal A (U‑14 girls), Esmoriz GC (U‑15 girls), SL Benfica (U‑16 girls), VV Utrecht A (U‑17 boys), VP Madrid A (U‑19 girls) and Ala de Gondomar (U‑19 boys).
