Vila Odmor, former Bosnian political elite retreat, lies derelict on Adriatic coast
The villa ‘Odmor’, a former luxury retreat for high-ranking officials from Bosnia and Herzegovina, has fallen into significant disrepair on the Pelješac peninsula. Located near the tourist center of Trpnje, Croatia, the property sits in a prime seaside location with direct beach access and Mediterranean surroundings.
Despite previous investments of public funds intended for its maintenance and renovation, the complex remains unused and abandoned. Current conditions show closed windows, damaged structures, graffiti, and corroded metal elements. Overgrown vegetation has overtaken stone paths and pergolas, and the stone terraces leading to the sea show clear signs of neglect.
