Vila Popular to host mobile rabies vaccination campaign
The Zoonosis Control Center (CCZ) will conduct a mobile rabies vaccination campaign for dogs and cats in the Vila Popular region and surrounding areas this Saturday and Sunday.
Managed by the Municipal Health Secretariat (Sesau), the itinerant initiative involves teams visiting residences to improve access for pet owners, eliminating the need to travel to fixed service points. Veterinarian Maria Aparecida Conche noted that if the teams cannot cover the entire scheduled area within the weekend, they will return at a later date to be announced. Residents are advised to verify team identification and facilitate access to their animals to ensure safe immunization against rabies, a disease that can be transmitted to humans.
