Vila-real begins Mare de Déu de Gràcia festivities

The festivities of the Mare de Déu de Gràcia in Vila-real have officially commenced with the traditional ‘Crida’ and the presentation of the ‘Clau de la Festa’. Chef Roberto Bosquet Sorribes, known as Chef Bosquet, was the protagonist of the opening ceremony held at the Plaça de la Vila.

Following the ceremony, the celebration moved to the Jaume I Garden, featuring bell ringing and a traditional firework display, which utilized a new button-activated system this year. The event also saw the opening of food truck areas and the ‘Recinte de la Marxa’ to accommodate the upcoming programming.

In preparation for the bullfighting events, the Vila-real City Council has begun technical safety inspections of the ‘cadafales’ (bullfighting structures). Some structures failed the initial inspection and were marked as ‘DESFAVORABLE’. Owners must rectify identified deficiencies before final inspections conducted by local police, or the structures will be sealed and prohibited from use during the festivities.
