Vila Real Court postpones verdict for former priest

The Vila Real Court has postponed the reading of the verdict in the trial of a former priest without setting a new date. The defendant faces charges of fraud, rape, and usurpation of functions.

The delay follows a request for clarifications from the Institute of Legal Medicine. The court is currently awaiting the delivery of these requested reports before the judgment can be delivered.

During final arguments, the Public Ministry requested a combined sentence of six years, while the defense argued for acquittal. The defendant has denied all crimes.
