Portugal hosts several significant motorsport and athletic events. The Formula 2 Powerboat World Championship returns to Vila Velha de Ródão for its fifth and final stage, featuring 20 pilots from 12 nations on a 1,577-meter circuit. Local officials highlight the event's economic and touristic importance.

In road racing, the Rally Viana do Castelo 2026 is being prepared, alongside the Rali da Água Transibérico Eurocidade Chaves-Verín, a cross-border rally involving Chaves and Verín. Additionally, the Corrida dos Fundadores, organized by the Caramulo Museum, will feature pre-war automobiles and motorcycles traveling from Figueira da Foz to Lisbon.

At the Estoril Circuit, Martim Jesus secured the Supersport title in the National Speed Championship, while Tiago Rafael won the Sportbike category. In Kartcross, João Pinheiro claimed victory at the Castelo Branco round. Meanwhile, Vila Real will host the inaugural Rampa dos Ferreiros, an event promoting cycling and athletics.
