Vila Viçosa hosts Festas dos Capuchos celebrations

The Festas dos Capuchos celebrations took place in Vila Viçosa this weekend, drawing thousands of visitors to the Alentejo region. The festivities featured traditional bull-related events, including a second release of bulls on Sunday morning at Praça da República and Avenida Bento de Jesus Caraça.

Musical performances also headlined the event. Brazilian singer Vítor Kley performed at the Palco Capuchos on Sunday, September 13, marking the conclusion of his 2026 concert tour in Portugal. During the performance, Kley expressed his appreciation for the Alentejo region and the local audience.
