Vilanova i la Geltrú launches new course for Women with Memory project

The ‘Dones amb Memòria’ (Women with Memory) workshop in Vilanova i la Geltrú has launched a new course, continuing a project that began in 1998. For 27 years, the initiative has focused on preserving local history by valuing the daily life experiences and narratives of women.

The group, which now includes second generations of participants, has produced various publications and educational materials through its ‘La memòria del futur’ collection, covering topics such as school, sports, war, and the transition period. A new collection has also been introduced, starting with a book dedicated to the world of sewing. The current challenge for the group is to review and update their existing body of work, which includes more than ten published books.
