Vilaño Puppet Festival celebrates local heritage and memory

The Vilaño Puppet Festival (FITVI) continues its activities in the village of Areosa, focusing on local history and community memory. Recent events included historical reenactments at the Fonte da Areosa and Muíño das Fervenzas, where local women recreated traditional laundry practices.

Activities also moved to the Montes Claros castro, featuring puppet shows and a lecture by archaeologist Puri Souto regarding the site's legends. The festival, organized by the Asociación Cultural Adro de Vilaño, aims to foster intergenerational connection and preserve local heritage through various cultural performances and community gatherings.
