Vilar de Mouros festival hosts Ben Harper, KALEO, and War

The fourth day of the Vilar de Mouros 2026 festival featured a diverse lineup of international artists performing in Portugal.

Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals delivered a performance blending soul, folk, blues, and rock. Marking his return to the festival 25 years after his 2001 debut, Harper played hits such as ‘Steal My Kisses’ and ‘Say You Will’.

American collective War brought a mix of funk, soul, and Latin rhythms to the stage, led by longtime member Leroy ‘Lonnie’ Jordan. The performance highlighted the band's historical roots in social and racial themes.

Icelandic band KALEO headlined the night, closing the day with an intense set of blues and rock characterized by the powerful vocals of Jökull Júlíusson. Earlier in the day, Los Angeles-based singer Sydney Ross Mitchell performed a set described as ‘Folk Dream Pop’.

Other performers included the artist MONSTRO, contributing to the day's varied musical atmosphere.
