Vilhena reports multiple incidents involving dogs

In Vilhena, Rondônia, a 9-year-old boy was injured after being attacked by an unrestrained Pit Bull while walking with his father. The animal bit the child's left leg before fleeing into a private residence. Military Police identified the owner and issued a Term of Circumstantial Occurrence (TCO) for failure to exercise proper care over the animal. The victim was treated by the Fire Department and taken to the Regional Hospital of Vilhena.

Separately, residents in the Barão III neighborhood of Vilhena have reported more than nine suspected cases of dog poisoning within a single week. Local pet owners described symptoms including sudden staggering, foaming at the mouth, and convulsions. While several dogs have died and others required emergency veterinary care, there has been no official confirmation of the cause or any identified suspects.
