Villa Alemana Night Municipal Service Draws Over 500 Residents
More than 500 residents attended a special night‑time municipal service session in Villa Alemana, Chile, held from 18:00 to 21:00. The extended hours allowed people to renew driver’s licences, obtain pet‑care services, pay sanitation fees, register commercial patents and inquire about the Social Household Registry without taking time off work.
Mayor Nelson Estay said the strong turnout “confirms we are responding to a real community need.” Attendees such as neighbourhood board president María Teresa Gajardo praised the pet‑responsibility desk, while Camila Zubieta highlighted the convenience of renewing her licence after hours. The event, the sixth of its kind this year, was described by participants as efficient and friendly.
The initiative aims to improve access to municipal services for working citizens and is being repeated monthly.
