Villa Carlos Paz halts land clearing in protected area

The municipality of Villa Carlos Paz has ordered the immediate halt of excavation and land clearing activities within Protected Area 1 (AP1). The intervention occurred at kilometer 2.5 of the south collector road of the Córdoba-Carlos Paz Highway.

During an inspection, municipal agents discovered modifications to the natural terrain and vegetation. Officials linked the unauthorized work to Grupo Dinosaurio after finding a container bearing the company's name on the site. The area in question was designated as an Intangible Protected Area in 2015 under Ordinance No. 6010, which strictly prohibits altering the natural relief, ecosystem, or subdividing lots.

The local government has notified the Córdoba Provincial Environmental Police to initiate administrative proceedings and determine potential provincial sanctions. The municipality stated it will continue routine controls to protect the city's natural resources and environmental heritage.
