Villa Carlos Paz political landscape shifts ahead of 2027 elections

Political activity is increasing in Villa Carlos Paz ahead of the 2027 municipal elections. The ruling alliance, Carlos Paz Unido, led by current mayor Esteban Avilés, is considering either his reelection or the promotion of a new generational leader, focusing its platform on fiscal balance and infrastructure works.

Opposition candidates have begun to emerge. Emilio Iosa of Otra Cosa is focusing on public services and the environmental crisis of Lake San Roque. Pía Felpeto of Juntos por Carlos Paz aims to become the city’s first female mayor, seeking alliances with the Frente Cívico and Radical sectors. Mariana Caserio, aligned with Cordovan Peronism, and Jacinto D’Angelo, seeking a candidacy with La Libertad Avanza, are also among the figures positioning themselves for the upcoming vote.
