Villa Cañás improves rural drainage via Paysandú Canal works

The Municipality of Villa Cañás has completed a new intervention on the Paysandú Canal in a rural area of the district. The project, carried out in coordination with the Comité de Cuenca de la Laguna La Picasa, involved the installation of ten pipes to improve water runoff and reinforce the drainage system.

These preventive works aim to facilitate water circulation and reduce potential issues during periods of heavy rainfall. By improving the capacity of the Paysandú Canal, the intervention helps prevent obstructions and ensures better transitability for local producers and residents on rural roads.
