Villa Clara authorities meet with Leopardos baseball team

Provincial authorities in Villa Clara met with the Leopardos de Villa Clara baseball pre-selection team at the Augusto César Sandino stadium. The meeting, attended by First Secretary Susely Morfa González and Governor Milaxy Yanet Sánchez Armas, focused on the team's preparation for the 65th National Baseball Series.

Officials discussed support measures for the athletes, noting that state enterprises, private economic actors, and tobacco producers will collaborate to provide resources to improve the quality of life for players and coaches. Maintenance work is currently underway at the stadium, including painting and the planned addition of amenities such as shops, bars, and restaurants managed by a small or medium-sized enterprise (MSME).

Cuban baseball legend Ariel Pestano also attended the session to offer advice to the new generation of players, emphasizing the importance of talent and seizing the moment.
