Villa de Álvarez honors sculptor Enrique Carvajal González

The City Council of Villa de Álvarez, led by Mayor Tey Gutiérrez Andrade, has presented sculptor Enrique Carvajal González, known as Sebastián, with the Keys to the City. He has also been named the Honorary Ambassador of Cultural Heritage and Traditions of Villa de Álvarez.

This recognition honors his upcoming contribution to the local cultural heritage: the creation of a monumental sculpture titled ‘Arraigo’. The piece will be located near the La Petatera bullring and is intended to reflect the municipality’s charro and bullfighting traditions. Sebastián, whose previous works include Pez Vela and El Limonero, expressed his emotional connection to the region and its traditions during the ceremony.
